Deutschland Diary, Pt. 4: Super Dickmanns were just the beginning

After my long overnight flight, I landed in Munich 8:00 Saturday morning. I'm not sure how many hours I'd gone without sleep by then, but I knew it was important to stay awake so I could get my body onto German time.

Susie helped me wake up by giving me a Super Dickmann. That had me buzzing on a sugar high long enough to take the U-Bahn downtown

Maybe it's just because I lack the privelege of having met you face-to-face (and trust me, I'd have wrangled BF Vegas if I could have), but somehow the words "Katynka" and "tiny mouth" don't go well together at all.

That asparagus is scary!!!! Don't they grow it in less light or something, so that the chlorophyll doesn't color the stalks? Glad you're getting your fill of Deutsche Bier!

They bury it in the dirt until it's ready to harvest, so it doesn't turn green. How creepy is that?

(I'm sure it's very clean, German dirt, though.)

I'm glad you knew the answer because I didn't. All I know is that it was good. If a little scary. But not as scary as those puppets would have been.

The puppets were scarier than even I could imagine. Like, along with the regular goggle-eyed puppets there were these German postmodern puppets that had their internal organs on the outside and stuff. Seriously sick and disturbing.

We can go see them tomorrow if you want.
