She was raised in all the proper wizarding traditions, taught to be proud of her bloodline and history, something she has tried to also influence in her younger sister (who I would like to eventually have someone else play). Katy was and is quite spoiled, as many children from similar backgrounds might be. Her parents couldn't be more proud of her sense of ambition and the way she has embraced the family ideals.
Katy's first six years at Hogwarts have been great! She's got a fair enough group of friends among the "suitable" students there and has even come to accept that there are some less desirables roaming the halls, though she would definitely do just about anything to get rid of that sort. She gets decent enough grades, even managing to do pretty well in her OWLs, because she knows that keeping up with her studies is important to her future successes.
Katy has done her share of dating, too - enough to not be considered a prude, but not so much to be considered a tramp, though her standards are impossibly high and she's quite possibly unknowingly snogged a few boys who were not up to those standards, not knowing that at the time. Of course, if she ever were to learn that she'd touched anyone who wasn't PURE, she'd be revolted.

Katy is perfectly easy to get along with. Assuming, of course, that you're from a proper family and you don't mind her enormous ego. Which tends to be a pretty short list. Katy has standards that some might see as impossibly high. She doesn't see it that way, though. She has her friends who share her values and upbringing and she's perfectly happy with that. Those who don't like her are clearly beneath her.. and the majority of the filth in the school? Well, she could care less what they think of her.
Katy is hopelessly ambitious. She has a lot of drive and determination and she firmly believes that NOTHING is out of her reach. That ego of hers tells her that she is wonderful and perfect and completely capable of ANYTHING. Regardless of how unrealistic it might be.
Katy is a bit of a bully when it comes to those who are somehow "weaker" than she is. Sure, she doesn't understand the finer politics of manipulation sometimes, and she doesn't always know who to trust or put her faith in, but she's definitely capable of using outright force or the naivety of someone who is younger and less intelligent to get what she wants.
Katy is blunt. She says what she thinks, often without regard to the consequences or what others will think. Katy is just the type to answer candidly when asked for her opinion. Diplomacy? Tact? These are foreign concepts to this girl and ones that she would see as a waste of time if she didn't understand what they were. Katy doesn't care enough what other people think of her to employ them, anyway.
Physical Description: Long red hair, pale skin, brown eyes, average height and build, around 5'3 and 130 lbs. Katy dresses with style and flair. She takes the latest fashions and adds her own spin to them, creating a style of dress that is both fashionable and unique. Katy would rather die than be caught out without makeup, perfectly groomed hair, and a perfectly hot outfit. She is very rarely seen in sweats or anything similar and she takes care to ensure that not a strand is out of place if she's to be seen by anyone else.

1. Ambition - Katy has a strong ambitious streak. She knows just what she wants out of life and she doesn't mind doing whatever she has to in order to achieve her goal. She hasn't decided exactly what she wants to do with her life, but she's determined she'd going to do something BIG, something that will make her beloved and famous.
2. Confidence - Katy knows who she is and she likes it. She's completely secure in herself. She knows she's pretty, she knows she's smart and if someone doesn't like her, it's because something is lacking in them, not her. Because she, obviously, is perfect.
Weaknesses:
1. Blunt/Tactless - Katy has no tact at all. If she doesn't like you, she has no qualms at all about telling you. She doesn't filter things and she doesn't hold back. Be careful what you ask her, because she's the sort of girl who would respond to "how do I look?" with something akin to "like a giant slutbag"
2. Impatient - Katy is not patient. AT ALL. When she sees something she wants, she goes after it immediately. She's not the sort to wait around and if it means people have to get hurt so she can get her way faster, so be it.
3. Elitist bitch - Katy is a Snob. There are very few people that she deems worthy to be in her presence and she blatantly turns her nose up at all others. At the top of the requirements list is blood. Anyone who isn't absolutely pure just isn't good enough for her. Oh, yeah. Katy would cause that kind of pain to someone without much of a care. She might even laugh. Granted, she probably wouldn't try it with someone she actually cared about, but that's a pretty short list.

A dementor? After Katy? She was so confused at the idea, that she didn't react to it right away. After all, she was sure it couldn't possibly be after her! Why would it be? She was the proper sort, loyal to the Dark Lord and from a good family, too!
It started to sink in, though, as Katy started to feel something she never had before. And odd sense of dread and insecurity. Suddenly all the doubts she never let herself have floated through her mind, completely unbidden, and she couldn't seem to stop them.
She pulled out her wand, but it was too late. She couldn't seem to dredge up a single happy thought.
