Dude, you insanely crazy house buying fool! What have you done?
Owning a house ROCKS. Yours looks wicked and huge to boot. How the hell can you afford it? We were scraping together money to buy a one bedroom shack.
One of the weirdest bits is that you get all houseproud and start being interested in shelving units and boilers, and never invite your friends over unless they too own a house, in case they trash it...

Hehe I am a crazy house-buying fool!! It's not often you get called that!! I cannot WAIT to be in there, I just want to run around and lay on the ugly retro carpet and go 'this is mine, all MINE, mwahahahahaaaa!' We can't really afford it to be honest, it's a combination of parental help (lovely people), friends going to be lodgers and basically scraping through by the skin of our teeth. Oh, and house prices are much cheaper up here which is mighty useful. Well, unless I ever wanna move down south again!

Yup know exactly what you mean - went to Ikea for the first time the other night since finding our house and actually enjoyed it and got quite excited over bookcases and bedframes - I never thought I would see the day. I surely can no longer rock? But fuck it, I have PROPERTY!!! Well, almost….
