Hey! We're matching! That's how much I sent in, too! Of course, yours was way longer than mine ... or maybe not since mine was about an inch or so under the chin bob when the donation was cut. It wasn't until after that it got whacked more.
It *is* an adjustment and if you end up /not/ liking it that short then you know that now and can consider it a trial run. In a few weeks it'll be longer already and in a few months it will be a nice, cute ponytail length again.
How about takin' this opportunity to let us see your loverly face w/o you trying to either hide or 'peek coyly' around/through your hair? ;-)
I'm sure it looks fine. It'll just take some time to get used to. I know back in college when I went to get my haircut once and went from long to short yeah, I felt like crying. Took me a couple days to get over it. And then last year when I did the lochs of love thing, even though I was ready and prepared, it took me a little bit to adjust.
So it'll all be alright. And yeah, in the end if you don't like it. It will grow back.
Yeah, it's weird, you get so attached to a bunch of dead matter. I've hated it everytime I've cut my hair short, but I'm sure your hair looks great. It's just going to take getting used to.
When I slashed mine off I laughed. ....I heard that's not the normal reaction, though. That's been about 3? years ago now and now I can't stand to have it past my shoulders. Shudder. With it that short, though, even if you hate it? It grows fast enough that you can cut it strangely and experiment a bit as well. <3
