Sigh. Are words so worthless? I want everyone's opinion on this one. IF someone promises something, is that good enough? or do they have to do what they promised first, and then thats good enough... i dunno. i feel like my word is worthless. its been discredited by people who i thought were my friends. Its hard to say. When someone promises me something I am always skeptical because my dad broke so many of his promises to me. If someone promises me i try not to read so much into it in case the dont follow through. It's a good way to not get hurt. As for your friends that aren't loyal or trustworthy, dont excuse that. You deserve friends who are going to treat you well. Good character and bad character cant ever be friends... keep that in mind

i have been lucky enough to surround myself w/ people who don't purposely try to break promises or hurt me. i try not to take things too seriously. if someone breaks a BIG promise, i'm usually pretty forgiving and trusting. maybe that's what gets me into trouble sometimes, but you're a good guy alex. no worries.
