Luxor days 2 and 3

yesterday we visited Karnak temple, which is reportedly the biggest religious complex ever. It was pretty cool, cause every king who came through added his own touch to it, so there's lots of different things. the temple is enormous, even if it is just ruins now, you can still get a good idea of the magnitude of the place. that took all morning, ( Read more... )

what do you mean by the Red Sea stuff? this trip wasnt really focused on anything with the red sea - we just had lunch by it on the way back from Mt. Sinai

ah. Once upon a time, the Egypt DIS was led by Chris Taylor and Suzette Smith (biology prof.) and the theme was Ecotourism. So in addition to visiting the pyramids and some of the historical sites, they also went snorkelling and/or diving in the red sea.
