g33k advice desired

so i'm slowly digitizing my cd collection, but don't have the hard drive space to support the endeavor (the lappy only has 60gigs, none of which i trust too much as it's an e machine). so i'm thinking an external hard drive is probably the sensible solution, but i'm not sure what brands are affordable and reliable. i'm guessing that 100GB would ( Read more... )

I've had no problems with my Western Digital Drive. The one suggestion I'd make though is that you'll be better off getting a bigger drive if you can afford it. Price-wise there's not much difference between 20 gigs, but when you find out you need it, it's nice to have.

Check Buy.com for good deals. And buy an extended warranty if you travel with it a lot (I'm glad I did!).
