It has taken me awhile, but I have finally caught up on my work and so am able to make a real update about conference. In some ways, I think that the extra time has been good because it has given me more time to reflect on the meet and the season in general. Conferences was AWESOME. Five months of training realized in just three short days. So much emotion. I have a ton to say, but it will have to wait until later because right now my schoolwork is waiting to devour me.

We leave for conferences in less than two hours. That is really scary. I can't believe the end of the season is finally here. This is really it.

Yesterday was the last day of freedom before classes started, and we decided to celebrate it by watching all three extended editions of Lord of the Rings in a row. Just for those of you who are uninformed, the regular Lord of the Rings moivies are around three hours in length. A marathon of those three is definitely a feat. I have been in a really bad mood for the last few days, and I just couldn't figure out why. Then, yesterday, it hit me. It's the drugs, man. I am totally addicted to endorphins. And since we are on taper, I have not been getting my daily dose. I am trying to go cold turkey and so am suffering withdrawal symptoms. I need those endorphins! ( Read more... )

I have always held the belief that swimming is just about that hardest sport around. I know, I am hardly an unbaised judge, but I still think my opinion is valid. I am getting really bored. Apparently I can only go so long without having anything really to do. I have finished my winter term project, and since we are only swimming once a day this week, I really don't have much to do. I mean, I can only read and knit for so long. The most horrible thing just happened!! Two of my knitting needles are broken! I am right in the middle of my glove, and I need them to finish. I know that buying wooden needles was a bad idea, but they didn't have any others at the store I went to. I have really been trying to keep them safe, and so far it was working.
