Hon, I've been avoiding commenting, because I'm pretty much the last person who should be giving advice about parenting.

There is an entry on Captain Awkward that got posted this week that you might find helpful.

I worry for you (not necessarily about you). The first weeks of parenthood are hell, from what I can see. I believe you're going to be an awesome mom, once you're past the first weeks & months. And it looks like it will be an incredible adventure for you.
