Has anyone tried using any of these figures or set pieces in a role-playing campaign? Any reactions positive or negative from players? Certainly a lot cheaper than anything from Dwarven Forge.
I have very limited experience with such things, but I firmly feel that minifigs are as good as one imagines them to be. If a six year old can know that a shoebox is Barbie's dream car, then grownups should be able to understand that the figure with a green coat is a perfectly acceptable substitute for a character with a teal coat.
Figures are cool, and many of them are impressive, beautiful and an amazing display of skill that can be appreciated without the game. The game is not about the figures, the game is about the game!

Also, I want the tiny gazebo made of skeletons.
