Don't miss it! Don't even be late!

I went to the Minnesota State Fair on Monday thanks to a ticket given to me as a birthday gift by mle292.

I got to the fair around 7:15am before most things had opened and had breakfast at The Peg, went through the goat barn, bought stuff at Northern Tool, went through the Pet Building, then watched some dogs do agility "free style" with some wandering around mixed in there. At 10:30am I went to the Leinie Lodge Bandshell to see The Peterson Brothers. Blues, rock and jazz. Very enjoyable and good wake up music for the morning.

Then to the Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild for a Cicerone flight.

Next was the Schell's Stage and Sarah Morris and The Sometimes Guys. Americana singer-songwriter.

Some more wandering and then on to the Ramberg Senior Center for the end of Vic Volare. Lounge music.

More wandering and I got to see the end of the parade.

Then back to the Schell's Stage for the Becky Schlegel "Trio". Country and bluegrass.

Then to the DNR outdoor stage for The Roxxy Hall Band. Rock & Roll! Probably my favorite band of the day. In fact I stayed for two sets even though there was some rain during the second set.

Then on to the Farmers Union building for Bill Travers & Laura Moe. Almost nobody watching because of the rain.

More wandering and then the final show of the night - War® The band only has one original member but it was still an interesting blast from the past.

And then home. A very long day, and I paid for it the next day as I was tired, sore, and had some tummy troubles, but I really did enjoy myself.
