I have some friends who kiteboard and they love it. It looks damn hard to me.

yeah, it looks hard to me. windsurfing and surfing don't appeal to me, but this does!

i love watching them here in emeryville. i actually saw kiteboard sails up close for the first time this past weekend. i didn't know they had inflatable ribbing! i think i will have to learn this after scuba.
