What would the world be like if Golden age Super Heros were real?  More specificaly, Heros were an everyday occurance.  They were well known, they took care of the citizenary, and stopped crime, just like in the comics.  Then all of a sudden they vanished on August 6 1945.  Never to be seen again.  No Super ever surfacing.  The reson for the ( Read more... )

With idiots like the human race in possession of such dangerous toys, if you had the means to leave this world, would you want to stick around?

On the surface things would probably be very much the same. However, considering the different mean by which super heroes gain their powers, it's possible that various technological and scientific advancements would be further along than they are now.

Of course assuming that the laws of physics are the same or similar to the comics, that begs the question, where are all the supers who gained powers through exposure to radioactivity?
