Hardly worthy of a competition though. Shortbread-cake. Which is shortbread made in a tray with icing on. I had no idea. Nursery make it for the kids and it is fab and I kept badgering for the recipe and finally saw it today. 8oz butter, 4oz sugar, 12oz flour; and then they put icing sugar in water and sprinkles on the top. I swear it tastes like a different thing to shortbread so I'm making a batch right now to prove.
I think I'll make my icing white though, not the green nursery usually do *&)
You know, it might taste better with vanilla in. The only problem is I'd have to make a second batch to check that and the first batch is still sitting here. I've brought it into the office though so I expect it to go shortly :)

If you have a version with vanilla, DO post it on my blog - there are TWO sets of prizes and not that many entrants!
