Yes, Tim said you two were going to visit Vermont. Oh, and get married as well.:) Many congratulations!
The price of the settlement visa does put a damper on things. Stupid governments. I hope the process goes smoothly for you! Tim and I are actually getting married through an unceremonious civil ceremony the day after he arrives, just so we can get the application sent out. With any luck, I'll have my visa by the time my plane ticket says I'm leaving.
See you and yours across the pond, one way or another!
Oh, and if Tim's dad was wearing what you wore, I would not be worried at all. You look very nice in that photo. A dark sage green striped suit with a bright sage green tie, on the other hand, is a bit much. Parents.
Oh my God! A green suit? Is it an outdoor wedding? Maybe he will just blend into the garden. Maybe you can accidentally spill red dye all over it the day before the wedding, forcing him to rent a less eye-catching suit. Flamboyance is one thing I don't have to worry about between Brian and my family (assuming we will one day have a wedding.) Alcoholism is something else. I will probably be the first bride to have to tip the paddywagon driver who is hauling away half my family and my groom. And I feel you on the "once again seraching for employment" dilema. I feel that with each job I end I become a more confident interviewee (ironically). Perhaps it will work the same for you. Good luck with all your plans. I am going to RSVP and pray to the HR gods that I will be employeed and therefore financially able to be at your wedding come time. Love ya!

Yeah, a striped green suit with a bright green tie. And it's an indoor wedding. Tim has actually managed to compromise with his dad, so he'll be wearing a black suit during the ceremony and then will change into the green suit for the reception.
Yeah, job searching just plain sucks. I think I'm going to totally rely on a recruitment place once I get to Oxford though, because I can't stand the thought of clipping newspaper ads once again and waiting months to hear that I didn't get the job (if I actually hear anything, you know how it is!)
Love you too babe, and glad that you are still trying to come. I hope it works out! Chelsea, Kanika and Courtney are going to be here, and it would just be wrong if you weren't here too.
