Today...well, yesterday as it's past 12am at this point, has turned out to be one of those days where I just feel extremely weak and every part of my body aches enough to break the mental block that usually keeps me from noticing said aches. I was just wondering if you've explored other options.
You might be eligible for assistance in getting a service dog. And I'm not sure, but I would think there would be a rescue association that deals with them too.
If anything though, a lot of dog breeds can work as service dogs. Maybe you could save some money buy adopting an older dog and having it trained.

At first I thought you meant a search and rescue dog xD. Despite the fact that all our dogs (except my mum's new backyard breeder-bred puppy, I'm embarrassed to mention) have come from shelters, I still don't normally think 'shelter dog' when I hear 'rescue dog ( ... )

It's a breed that's still in development:). They are meant to be more like the original German shepherd dogs were back in the days where they were built for working instead of the show ring. They are taller than typical GSDs as well, so the idea is that a Shiloh would provide more balance stability for me:B.
