I am safe

I am safe from the bridge collapse.  I was at home, 20 miles away when it happened.  My mom and sister were in Minneapolis (Laura worked until 6 at the Franklin Ave. library) and were close enough to see the smoke from the trunk that was on fire at the time.  They are safe as well.

hey! i'm ok-glad to see you are ok! I was at home as well when this happened...i took a shower, travis came home, i came out of the shower and they were watching the news..holly shit. I took a bike ride over there today, can't really see much..but you can see some of the bigger stuff. took some pictures-what an emotional couple of days. anyway...i love you and miss you

I actually spent my day at jury duty. This morning, we waited in a waiting room, with the TV on CNN (of course, just talking about the bridge for 2 hours). So many pictures and stories - so scary...

And I have thoughts on Bush's speech he gave this morning, but I shall leave that for another day - he'll make an ass of himself again on Saturday when he's in town.
