Well about the problem you are having with the files is, I'm gonna guess, it's probably happening because you have a pc with windows media player, right? Because everything I have on my Mac has been imported into my itunes every file is in Mp4 format, so unfortunately if your media player doesn't already convert into Mp3 you will either have to download a converter or itunes :S The easiest thing, honestly is probably to download itunes ^^ from apple.com, you can download it for free HERE ^^ It's an awesome program and is a much better organizer than Windows media player.
Another thing that might be happening is that you need to DL the Japanese font to read the titles of the songs, I had a problem with this too once, way back in the day when I had windows -_- this is another thing you shouldn't need to do with itunes ^.^b
