Alright well I've been thinking of getting a tattoo. I thought of a really good idea. the only thing I'm really passionate about is math. So naturally I would like to get a phi-related tattoo. The golden spiral more specifically. Though it seems rather plain if its just the line there. It needs something more. So here are my two ideas

I would say.. By getting a tattoo, you're binding yourself to something you once liked, for years to come, when your tastes may change millions of times. Very often things we praised in the past seem very banal in the present. I guess you've considered that already. In such case, I suggest you go with something as non-specific as possible, so you can at least alternate your understanding of it as you wish. And no text - for sure. And make sure it doesn't come out looking like penis or vagina, or some other genitalia. Like that statue that was given to new jersey as a gift.

Thats the beauty of the spiral. It's connected to so many things. I agree. I'm not into getting any text either. Hopefully it wont end up looking like a penis.

your ideas both sound very good. as long as you won't regret it further on in life. make sure you are committed to this.

yeah, im pretty sure it's something i won't regret but the idea has changed a smidgen, to make it more feasible.

waterfall, golden flowers falling down it forming the shape of the spiral.
