Steve and I had a very nice Christmas this year. Christmas eve we spent with my parents, my sister, and her bf. We had dinner and then opened our gifts from my parents. I am still trying to figure out if I can do something outside our place to liven up the patio. One of the apartments in the complex has a really nice display with snowflake lights, red and white lights, and lots of poinsettas. It is really pretty. First week of unemployment was fairly productive. I did a few things around the house that I have been neglecting and applied to 3 jobs. Steve and I decided that I would only try for permanent positions, and only apply to jobs that I really want. We actually had to turn on the heater today.  I think the high is supposed to be in the 50's today.  I want to have natural light in the apartment so I have the shades open, which I think may be causing some of the chill in here.  If I close them though, it will seem like night time.  So we are running the heater.  I am nervous about running the ( Read more... )

So the leaves are changing around here and it has made my drive to work extremely pleasant.  There are so many mature trees in the business parks where I work.  The main road I drive is lined up with trees and all the leaves are red and orange.  This is probably a 4 block drive.  Then you look around in all the parking lots and there are some that ( Read more... )
