I don't now how to answer half of your questions, but I think you are right in pursuing your passion. I think it sounds realistic--as long as you are motivated and hard-working, you can make anything happen. Sure, going into the medical field can basically guarantee you a job, but if it's not what you want to do--you will be living a life that is, in essence, not yours. Pursue your dreams. Only then will you really be happy and successful.

I'm happy I helped a little bit. I've actually been doing really well. I've been keeping busy and I'm getting ready to start college in the fall at Baker. We should get together before school starts up again. We need to catch up. :)

Wow, hmm... well, the good thing is I read the whole entry but the bad thing is I'm not sure what to say, and I don't want to say anything that would might destroy your life later on.

It's obvious that you are passionate about music but you have to understand that it's going to be hard and there will be times when you'll want to quit. That should be your only concern when it comes to whether it is right for you. Obviously, starving artist career... well, if you make it through, it will be more rewarding than any other profession you might've followed.

Now, your other problems, obviously, you know that I can't answer them. You will need to talk to your father and mother (maybe?) about your plans and ideas. Of course, first things first, audition and get into the school, then the other questions will soon be answered.

thanks edwin! i totally get what you're saying. and it makes sense. and yeah, i am kinda afraid of what all the kids are going to be like at a music college lol. and the good thing is, after these next 2 semesters i will only be 15 credits away from having an associates in Liberal Arts. so that can act as a back up too :) I miss our orchestra days together hehe.

That's so funny, since I just had an orchestra dream (though extremely sad at the same time) yesterday. Apparently, it was time for a concert, and I forgot my instrument but I had my instrument case. So I just grabbed a random instrument but the e-string broke so I put on a new one and that broke and Ms. Corrion was getting really mad because I was the only person not on stage and holding up the concert. Weird huh?

I miss that orchestra lock-in where I failed so miserably at Dance Dance Revolution and we stole the girl scout cookies.
