My sister is studying in the music therapy program at EMU and she really likes it. Apparently, there are also a lot of jobs for music therapists.

Ah EMU. Yeah my friend is studying music therapy at Windsor University and he also recommends it. I guess I should look into it

The bottom line is if you study guitar at all whether it be rock, jazz, or classical, you will ultimately become a better musician and learn skills that you can apply to any style of guitar playing considering there are elements of jazz, classical, and the like in any genre. You could also study piano which will also help you become a better musician overall. Do what you need to do to get your bachelors but just keep taking regular guitar lessons from people you look up to and admire outside of school. Ultimately, your degree is a piece of paper but you still have to do what you need to do in order to get the education you want.
