I'm starting to get really stressed about my final course for my Master's. It only started this week, and we really didn't have anything to do, but I know it's going to be tough. In this class we are doing our final project, the application of all we've learned. My problem is that I have no clue what I am going to do. I've been thinking about it ( Read more... )

Oh my! That doesn't sound like fun at all. With Justin's program they have to do a final portfolio that meets all of these specific requirements, and a long-term research project ~ nothing quite as open ended as that.

Did they give you lots of suggestions/ideas? Like things people have done in the past?

No, I've been asking for samples since last semester and got very few. The final project has to be posted to our own website, so it should be easy for the school to keep a list of projects to share with others.

Today I am considering coming up with technology curriculum for the whole school (or maybe just the intermediate grades). Perhaps including some professional development too. That way I can help the teachers and it will benefit the students too.

OIC. Yes, Do a staff development =D I posted a seperate reply b4 reading your comments.

Have you asked what your group mates are doing their project on?

I'm in the smae boat in terms of feeling stressed and my semester hasn't started quite yet...1 teacher posted our syllabi almost 2 weeks early for my policy class and its daunting! We have to attend a public hearing and track a handful of bills throughout the semester and at the end write a position paper...This is kinda intimidating me!

However. We are survivors!! We will push through this! What does Josh think you should do ur project on?

I would suggest doing staff development? I think this route would stretch YOUR abilities and what you've learned outward, rather than doing a project directed at your kids. It's kinda like doing something on a larger scale as teachers than teach the kids..in the end all benefit =D
