Raw Quiche

Ani's Raw Food Essentials includes several quiche recipes. These are ones that take a bit more time, planning, and patience . . . and a dehydrator. When I started the raw journey a couple of months ago I didn't think that I would have much use for a dehydrator. I *love* sunflower seeds on salads.

So, does the dehydrator ok to use because it doesn't heat it past a certain temp?

Yes, the actual temp is a bit of a debate within raw foodists. But keeping it under about 114 works to dehydrate but not destroy nutrients. I think my dehydrator temp can range from 90s to 130s.

Hmmm... would miso soup work? I know that you heat the water to just about boiling & then add miso afterward (never boiling it) so that you don't kill the enzymes. You can mix in tofu & dried wakame seaweed & all sorts of veggies for different varieties. So good.
