Don't worry. I've heard the worst singing audition ever given, and I'm sure you didn't do as bad as that.

Which audition was that? The 'special' play? Or worse: Hanson?

That makes me feel better. It's either because now I know I'm better than some other singer, or because I know I could be the one who makes the other singer feel better.

Maybe both.

It was auditions for a play in high school. A painfully tone deaf valley girl sang the entire "A Whole New World" from Aladdin.
