updating about the tea party i hold with meiting... well, ended up that she was quite late... so its more like a dinner than high tea...

I get what you mean. I try to catch up with as many frens as I could and as much as possible, keep in contact and update ourselves. I guess the only reason why I dun really feel out of place is cos I hang out with frens with similar interests group cos if not, all my ex-schoolmates and ex-colleagues are all, well, in such different fields as me! Raising a family, married, etc.
