The last post was supposed to have videos, 'cause I love videos and I love to pet them in my journal, but I had to go out so I'll put the videos here. But first onto the list I left in the previous post.

1. I've been rereading the Silmarillion by Tolkien. One of the best books EVER. And I think I'm enjoying it even more than the first time I read it ( Read more... )

Go ahead. Sil fanart is much love. :3

Also... don't hate Fëanor! It's not his fault he was an emotionally and mentally unstable disaster waiting to happen! *pets his sons*

*gets bitten*

Really? It's a pity that my scanner doesn't work ¬¬, but I'll make some Sil fanart and take pictures ^^.

He was emotionally and mentally unstable indeed. Maybe the genius and the greatness drove him mad... though that sounds too human for the greatest of the Noldor ^^;.
I tried to like him for his hate for Morgoth and despite the fact that he was being manipulated all the time, but the massacre of Alqualondë and the burning of the Teleri ships were too much.

I haven't gotten to the part where his sons have important appearances, though *fails at life*, but I remember I liked them. And now I know I must not pet them :P.

Hmm. Sometimes I think that Eldarin "superhumanity" just means that when they screw up, their failures will be about 1000 times worse than human's. And I really blame Finwë for a lot of Fëanor's mental issues, because his parenting skills left much to be desired. >_<

Fëanor slamming the door in Morgoth's face was absolutely win. Even if I think Maedhros paid for that with interest later. D:

Did you know there is a version of the burning of the ships where Fëanor accidentally burns one of the twins alive? As if we needed to add any more tragedy to the whole Fëanorian affair.
