This basically caught me up on the last four years of your life. I had no idea about stuff. It sucks sooo much about your brother. I can't pretend to understand how you feel.
Sounds like it'd be best for you to get a job near a big city where there're lots of chances to meet people, and use public transportation. But, it's cyclical because to afford to live there, you need a good job. :( Have you applied to places near Boston or Springfield or some such place?

Bah! He can live near Albany like me, super cheap! :)
Hey Jared, that really sucks! I was unemployed for like five months before I got a job, and it was a pretty craptastic job, so I know how you feel. Since I live in the Troy/Albany area, if you look for jobs here, you've got a place to stay for the weekend or whenever if you get an interview in the area. Just let me know. There's a train that goes from Pittsfield to here for like $20 round trip, and the CDTA bus from Rensselaer to where I live is a straight shot (so i can pick you up at the train station).
Where I work now isn't looking, but if I hear anything I'll let you know!
Hey, hang in there. Try to focus on the things you can do something about right now, like figuring out what's up with the diploma, what's wrong with your left eye, the best place to get a job, and the rest will come with time.

Lenox is definitely a shitty place to look for a job. At least are you saving up some money by living at home and not having to pay rent?
