Well, some of you know I had a 1 in 5 chance of winning back stage passes to meet Duran Duran yesterday through a local radio station (I was the magical ninth caller when they played DD on the radio the other day). Oh, they came out nicely! I really should have brought my camera to the Crowded House show last night - everyone else had them.

It's funny we both went to 80s bands concerts last night!

Oh yeah! I had read that you were going to see Crowded House and didn't realize it was going to be the same night I saw DD. What a coincidence!

Wow, those are really some amazing photos - you were 25 rows back too??? Wow. I may have to get the same camera as yours - you always have amazing photos (which of course comes a lot from your skill as a photographer of course, but with the right tools, you know ;)

Sounds like it was a great concert!

I just counted the seating chart, we were 21 rows back, but there was a gap between our section and the pit (a walkway). I think the image stabilization really helped. And using the eyepiece as a view finder rather than the digital screen (keeping your camera on your face helps stabilize it. It was a night and day difference in the results). Holding my breath, waiting for songs with good lighting - that's all I did :) But yeah, it's amazing how well these digital cameras work. Back around 1990 when I was literally a few feet from the stage at one of their concerts with my regular point and shoot 35mm camera the photos came out so bad! Then again, it probably didn't help that I was getting constantly bumped and pushed by the crowd. LOL!

Yes the digital cameras can do so much more than the oldies! I'm so glad they're here!
