Spent the weekend in Las Vegas seeing Duran Duran!

You'd think a single Duran Duran concert should be enough for me? No way - I'm a "Duranie"! So, for my birthday I drove out to Las Vegas to see the band at "The Joint" in the Hard Rock Hotel.
This is a fantastic place to see a show because it is a very small standing room only venue. I'd originally planned to only see the band on Saturday night

hahahaha! What a great story about the underwear!

I love concerts in small venues like that! The Crowded House show was similar - no seats - and there was no space between us and the stage. I was in the 2nd row of people, so I was only 10 feet or so away from Neil Finn! It was very cool!

I'm glad you got to see them twice! How fun!

Hehe - I've been looking through the fan forums and finally found a photo of Simon picking up the bra!

Yeah, I got lucky being surrounded by pretty nice people both nights at the show. In past years I've usually been unlucky and had drunk obnoxious girls insisting that they must push their way in front of me. I've had shows where I literally get into elbowing fights with people because they are so friggin rude. I'm not normally confrontational, but if someone pushes me I'll push them back.
