Fashion is art

I think people are hypocrites. People who think fashion is so brainless and shallow are full of shit. Why is decorating a canvas considered art, but decorating yourself considered a shallow waste of time? I love art in it's many forms, but especially self expression through fashion and fashion design

I agree totally with you.

Some things that are labeled as art today make no sense to me, it takes almost no effort.

I may not be big on fashion, but you are right.

Yeah, I don't think buying new clothes is art, but decorating yourself and finding your own 'style' is very much art when you put energy and thought into it

Yes, designing takes a lot of artistic ability to make it look just the way you envisioned.

I have made some of my own clothes before, it takes a lot to make them look good! =P
