I cannot understand a parent being so incredibly cruel to a child. I can understand a parent not understanding but being willing to try their best, but what you describe is terrifying, evil behaviour. I would agree that it seems there's some sort of mental health problem involved.

Kaya, I am really sorry to hear that things are not going as smoothly as they might be (to put it as lightly as possible), but it speaks volumes about your character that you 1)are willing to put up with this kind of aggravation; and 2)are able to deal with it. I hope that if I am ever faced with similar circumstances, that I will be able to be as strong, intelligent, and mature as you are about this.
