A Screenwriter's Dream

Watching a well done short for Tropfest Australia 2013 sparked a discussion about someone I knew who used to talk about being a screenwriter or producer. Through all the years I knew him, though, he didn't make any effort to get involved with the film community.

I know someone exactly like that as well, he had money from a 401 he cashed out, lived with his parents for years, bought all this equipment and got friends to help for free, and then the film (which admittedly, wasn't very good) never went anywhere because he never wanted to promote it. He wasn't much into carrying through, always excited at the beginning, but wanting immediate gratification.
