He's fine actually. One of those miracle stories. He's never late for work. Always gets in at 7:45am, and his child's mother would take their son to school about a half-hour later.

But that morning, for some unknown reason, his 6 year old cried and begged him to take him to school and for once...he did.

Saved his life that day, because he worked in Tower 7.

May those who lose their lives that day rest in peace, and the survivors find hope.

This is such a hard thing to talk about. I remember it like it was yesterday, and it hurts me every time I think about it or see the pictures. Especially knowing people are still suffering from the people they lost and the people who were there and still have the emotional scars along with the physical damages that a lot of people suffered.

I am glad you are able to share. :)

this time is still so clear in my mind, my then husband worked at the pentagon and would ordinarily have already left for work that day but he had taken sick leave that day. We lived in navy housing near the river and we could see the smoke from the pentagon crash from where we lived.
