Why my quesadilla maker made me cry.

I was catching up on Grey's Anatomy Tuesday night, and somehow the combination of Derek's Alzheimer's study and Steve making quesadillas for dinner (I know!) had me in tears. Tears dripping off the end of my nose, tears. For a good hour ( Read more... )

*hugs* I too had a grandmother who passed away from Alzheimer's. It's nice to hear your good memories.

Isn't it strange how the smallest things can bring back such vivid memories? And your grandma sounds like an amazing person! I love the hitchhiking story :)

Oh, she is! She's a real firecracker. I think the hitchhiking story really sums up what life is like with Grandma Peggy. *g*

♥ Your grandma sounds amazing. I'm glad she made you guys do crazy things that are fantastic to remember now. [hugs]

My grandpa had the CADASIL syndrome, which leads to early dementia, but I never knew him when he wasn't sick and he passed away when I was only twelve so there wasn't that big a feeling of loss, you know?
