A friend was cleaning off her bookshelves, and gave Steve and me this pair of gems: Don'ts for Wives and Dont's for Husbands, both originally published in 1913.

Some excerpts from Wives:

• Don't 'manage' your husband too visibly. Of course, he may require the most careful management, but you don't want your friends to think of him as a hen-pecked

That's hilarious. And not bad advice, really. ^^ But "funky," in 1913? I had no idea that word was so old! (Seems like it's being used a bit differently, too...)
