wow, that's cool. he seems like a nice guy. wouldn't it be hilarious if he turned out to be a total asshole? I mean, I know that the dalai lama pretty much by definition isn't an asshole, but it would be funny. just a total diva about everything. anyway.

mikhail gorbachev was here on monday, totally for free. just walk up and see good ol' gorby. along with several thousand other people, in an arena. still cool. not dalai lama cool, though.
