I just had a call from one of my tenants wanting advice....

is it pancake day today and how do you make pancakes?

Yes, it is!

The recipe involves eggs, flour, and some kind of raising agent. Beyond that I cannot advise.

I doubt that its a coincidence that the cafeteria where I work had "French Toast" flavored coffee as the special flavor of the day. I suspect Pancake-flavored coffee is hard to come by, so they thought they'd just make do.

lucky you! I was discussing with another tenant whether because making pancakes on shrove tuesday is a prelude to lent that it followed that you had to give up pancakes for lent. We decided you didn't have to give up anything.

ah yes, not clear.

Usually people ring me to get help with something miserable like their heating has broken down. I was just enjoying dealing with someone's emergency pancake need.

delicious pancake recipes are always welcome though!
