Okay. So I'm a little quiet thing who has never posted anything but a few reviews on other people's journals. Half of you are probably wondering who the hell I am. I'm here to read fics and I created an account so I could read f-locked posts. So yeah. My LJ has no connection with my RL.

However, right now I'm just totally floored and I need to rant

*giggles* - not at your comments but your 'please don't defriend me' plea. I won't defriend you. It would take a lot more than ranting about something that deserves to be ranted about.

The unmitigated gaul of some people! Someone else had a story of theirs plagiarized recently, and I told her to report them. I think someone else ended up doing the reporting, and it got taken down and the person (a teen - which was the reason the person hadn't wanted to report her - but I say if you steal, you pay) publicly apologized. Good ending ... so far.

But this person you speak of is too much! Doing it again ... and multiple times ... and changing user names ... it's intentional stealing. I don't care if it's fanfiction or not. We give credit to JKR for the characters, etc. We don't STEAL and claim it's ours. Sheesh!

Thanks. I'm so much better today, though CookieCutter has finished posting both completed stories and still nothing has been done. But I've done what I can and I'm down off my rage

Aw, it's good to see you posting, and the subject matter is a very important one, indeed. I certainly hope the abuse team on FF gets involved quickly. Perhaps someone else will give the authors a heads-up; you've done all you can.

Hehe. I'm back to my usual mild self. The issue hasn't been resolved but now that I've ranted and done my part to report her I feel better and know that I've done what I can. I'm hoping that FF will take care of it after the weekend is over because it really needs to be addressed as soon as possible, especially since reviews are being posted to "her" stories instead of to the real authors. Just can't figure out how she doesn't understand that it's wrong, especially with the people who have quite bluntly pointed it out in their "reviews". And yet she continued to post the chapters.

Uh oh. I feel myself starting to rant-up again. Thanks for not making me feel like I was being totally mental (only my usual mental!).

I couldn't agree with you more! Maybe not personally with fics but there have been times where my art or my concepts have been stolen and it really pissed me off. Especially when you can do nothing against it

I do business graphics, though I can't draw a straight line, and I've had several concepts stolen from me so, believe me, it's not just about fics. It's about the efforts anyone puts into any creative work. The things that we put our heart and soul into.

I saw Kimberjingle's fics posted as well as a number of others. At first I reported and ranted but I learned that it means absolutely nothing to the folks at ff.net unless the original author complains. It frustrates me beyond belief.

Thanks for your support and please don't apologize for your: 1) english -- english is my first language and I'm still quite capable of butchering it and your english is excellent; and 2) rant -- I'm a natural ranter though I obviously rarely post my rants! ~_^

I quite agree with you. That's is really despicable. I'm glad you reported those people! Maybe they just wanted their fifteen minutes of fame, but still...a disgusting thing to do.

I'm another reader who likes to review but hasn't posted anything. It remains to be seen if I ever will. I think I've actually commented some of your comments so I agree with you: you are a really nice person.

I'm not, but I usually pretend to be especially before Christmas. Because I kind of like the present thing - and the elves with their notepads are just scary. I wonder whether it is considered nice to comment something naughty? Like Drarry. ;)
