An end to his last year.....

I know that most of you dont know much about my extended family, and less of you have met any of them. A small few of you knew my uncle doug, who was pretty much a staple at all family functions and a sometimes extended house guest. I dont beleive in all the times i'd ever been over, that I had met Doug. However... I have heard you and others talk about him many times.

Also, I realize you say that you and the family have already come to terms with this, because you knew it was coming well in advance. However I still feel for you, and i'm here if you need to talk to someone.

well hon, you know where i stand. he was a grand fellow, but as you pointed out - this did not come as a suprize to him and after your comments from your last visit - you knew for sure as well.
i am glad that you got to see him last weekend tho. i think it gave him as much closure as you ;) ...

I remember and liked Doug. The most vivid memory is being in his car with the ceiling fabric out, so you could put your hand up there and the impression would stay.
Hope your world is wonderful, and my thoughts are with you and your family as well.
