I was. I just stared at him like 0_0 for a few moments with my jaw falling open and shutting like a beached fish gasping for air. I was trying to formulate an appropriate response about males being mutated females (That's why they have nipples!) or about males having lost one of their chromosonal legs. But between the shock and trying to properly translate that argument into Dutch, by the time I figured it out, he was gone to get his dessert.

It sucked because the rest of the night I had nothing else to dwell on mentally and by the time I left I was thinking something along the lines of "What the fuck am I doing in this country?"

Definitely crossed my mind. I doubt I could have gotten away with it though, hormones or not. :P

I would have had a hard time pointing out that, as a point of fact, all fetuses start out as female, and in fact, are complete. Men are actually overdone by the addition of that extra chromosome and the bits that accompany it.
