A Perfect Saturday

This weekend, I threw a 5K & Brunch at my house. One of my goals for 2012 was to do one race per month and since there wasn't a convenient race in the area this month, I decided to throw one myself.

I am so impressed that you created your own 5K!! I seriously would never really think that any ONE person could do that - awesome!! Were you just using sidewalks? Was it hard to run if you had to stop for traffic?

And awesome job with the fundraising, the PR and all that food!

It was only about 25 people, so it wasn't anything major and it was just on the streets in my neighborhood. I took some chalk and went out and marked the turns beforehand and created a map for people and that's about it.

We had a great time. The run and brunch were both a lot of fun. It certainly gave both of us an excuse to get out and move. Which is always a good thing.

And it was fun to catch up with people.

Also, the weather was perfect for a run.

Very cool overall, but my biggest takeaway from this post: brownie batter pancakes. I guess I know what I'm having for breakfast this Saturday!!!!
