My body is going on strike...

I fucked over my injured ankle, again, on Friday at practice. We went to Timbercrest to recruit some kids for XC next year, and we were running around on some trails nearby. Which means uneven ground, rocks, potholes, and mud. And considering I was just getting back into regular running, my ankle has NO strength. So every step on my right foot felt ( Read more... )

Yeah I'm loving the ice. I went to physical therapy a few times and it seemed to help, but my it's expensive and my insurance doesn't cover any of it for some reason. So my parents decided I've gotta do without it.

This is all really bad. I hope that you kick all this injury stuff and are free and clear for cross country.

And a note about Friday: I don't think I can hang out because that's the only time I am not SUPER busy. And people tell me that I'm supposed to be free so I can get asked to prom.

I hope you understand, maybe Saturday?

FUCK that's exactly what my junior year of track was like... i fell down some stairs, killed my ankle, and then when it was almost better i decided to run some 400s as fast as i could and fucked it over again. i'm so sorry darlin :( i hope it heals quick. i can't believe you're almost a senior... what the hell

Yeah I'm pretty pissed at myself for not starting off slower, but I was just so excited to be able to run again I went on really fast long runs right away.

Haha yeah, it's hard to believe I'm almost a senior for me too. I'm doing running start next year though, which means my summer lasts until September 24th! It's gonna be great.

I liked your Quill quote in this month's issue.

"Abstinence is important because it helps keep you healthy and pure for marriage" ~ random Sophomore

"Abstinence is for pansies!" ~ Kaylin Ullman

Hahah. Yeah, the guy who was writing it asked for a quote. And when I saw the one about purity I just had to throw it in there. I'm so shocked and happy that he actually used the quote in there.
