"W00t" was among 20 nominees in a list of the most-searched words in Merriam-Webster's online dictionary and most frequently submitted terms from users of its "open dictionary."

Yeah, I think it's been three years since it snowed here... am I farther north than you? I'm about twenty minutes north of Atlanta. I think y'all have weather off the Gulf though, too, right? *is, and always has been, mystified by weather patterns*

Yay for good grades! I don't think mine are posted yet. I want to see them.

I read most of the His Dark Materials trilogy. I'm stuck in the middle of the third at the moment. They're okay... I really don't like Phillip Pullman's writing style, because it's like he never learned how to make words flow or to actually HAVE a style. And the whole anti-God thing really doesn't feel well put together, it feels more like he didn't enjoy Chronicles of Narnia and so wrote a bastardized allegorical fantasy instead. I mean, there are some cool places in the books, and the characters are okay, but I didn't find the books all that great. I just want to see the movie for the airships and pretty steampunk things.

You're quite a bit further north than I am in Auburn. I'm 2 hours southwest of Atlanta, about thirty minutes inside the border of Alabama and horizontally smack dab in the middle of the state: approximately 4 hours to Huntsville in the north and 4 hours to the Gulf. I just REALLY want it to snow here before I graduate because the Quad would be most excellent for snowball fights and forts. And the fact that everything would shut down for a few days and it'd be nice and quiet and serene and really pretty. Damn you Global Warming I want snow!

My friends want to go see the Golden Compass probably this weekend, but I'm more interested in I Am Legend. TGC is something I'd rent or watch if it was free, but I Am Legend has my love (2nd after Johnny Depp) Will Smith in it, AND zombie things. Total score.

Lol. Not really. I mainly stick to College Life and study abroad forums on CC, the "will I get in?" threads freak me out cause all those kids are like, "OMG I ONLY MADE 2300 ON THE SAT AND ONLY HAVE A 4.3 GPA AND ONLY HAVE FOUR EC'S WHERE I'M AN OFFICER!!! WILL I GET IN ANYWHERE OR AM I DOOMED TO COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOREVER?!?!" The college life people are at least semi-normal most of the time, even if that Deluxe Hardballer guy is the biggest douche I've ever seen in my life. And I basically skip over all the posts on college_help that are "will I get in?" ones too; I stick to posts like yours and stuff where people are asking about things once they're actually IN college or at least already accepted.
