Firefox somehow ate all my bookmarks. All of them. All the grad schools I had saved, all the information about study abroad I had collected, all the random LJ/fandom shit I had saved, school stuff, everything. Is there ANY possible way of getting them back? Please some tech-savvy person tell me there's a way. Cause seriously, WHAT THE FUCK FIREFOX ( Read more... )

Ooh, ouch. Not fun. I don't know how, though, unless you can find some sort of system-restore thing.

not sure if the above person's suggestion worked, but....

first, make sure you show your hidden files and folders (open a window explorer window, go to view, and show hidden files and folders)

next, go to C:\Documents and Settings\ *your profile name thingy* \ Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\profiles\*some weird name that's probably different from mine* \ bookmarkbackups

hopefully that helped... i lost all of my bookmarks once, and it was horrible!
