Lindsey usually woke up just before six thirty and made it to the office a quarter past seven. Today, he slept in well past nine and when he did finally get up and look at the clock, he threw it across the room. 10:15 blinked obnoxiously at him. Around noon, he dragged his ass out of bed, took a shower, and dressed in jeans and a t-shirt. He bought a cup of coffee from the machine downstairs and headed down to Wolfram & Hart.

The receptionist smiled at him. “Good morning, Mr.-”

“Please, shut up.” He reached over her to look at the ledger for Angel's day.

His lip curled when he saw that he had been penciled in for a three hour slot an twelve-thirty. It was insulting. With purpose, he started heading towards the boss's office.

She squeaked and stood up. “Mr. McDonald, don't make me contact security!”

A few brutish looking men were coming out and circling him.

“There's no need for that now, Nora. I was expecting you, Lindsey. Come in.”

The guards backed off, and Lindsey shot them a look. If he were the 'kept boy,' then he might as well bask in the perks.

“I hate you,” he said when the doors closed.

Angel smiled. “You think I don't know that?”

He was undoing his tie and opening up his shirt. Lindsey barely suppressed a throaty groan.

“You can make noise, you know. I like hearing what I'm doing to you.”

“I don't.”

He laughed. “Strip, human.”

“No. I don't want to.”

“You're being moody.”

He shrugged and looked away. “Linds, what's wrong?”

As quickly as it had come, his petulant mood dissolved. He smiled. “Nothing. Nice office. Does it still have the bedroom suite?”

Lindsey wriggled out of Angel's attempt at an embrace and headed over to the bookcase, where he pressed against one of the wooden panels. They watched together as there was a clicking noise and the wall opened easily under Lindsey's hands.

“See? CEO suite's got perks.”

There was a large four poster bed in the middle of the room and another door inside that opened into a bathroom.

“Nice. Now go get ready.”

*

Lindsey entered the bedroom wearing the same clothes as before, but when Angel pulled him between his spread legs and groped his ass, he noticed the boy wasn't wearing any underwear.

“Very nice. Come here.”

Angel was sitting on the edge of the bed, his jacket gone and his shirt opened.

They always started out with kissing. It was an Angel thing. Lindsey preferred as little touching as was necessary, outside of the actual act of course, but Angel had this thing for touching, caressing, fondling. It drove him bat shit crazy.

Angel kissed his cheek and pushed his shirt over his head. The man still standing gasped at the sensation of Angel's tongue on his skin and tossed his head back and forth at the stimulation.

“C'mon. Don't tease like that.” Lindsey gracefully let himself fall down onto Angel's lap and wrapped his legs tightly around the other man's waist. “Fuck me like you really want to.”

“Don't wanna fuck you,” he growled, standing up and throwing Lindsey onto the bed. “I wanna love you.”

Lindsey growled with frustration and pushed the vampire away from him.

“I don't need to be babied by you!”

“Lindsey.”

But he was already standing up and reaching for his shirt.

“There was a case that came up.”

Despite himself, Lindsey leaned forward. “What kind of case?”

Angel leaned over him to pick up a large folder. “A woman claims that a demon made her a promise that he would protect her child. While he was away at college, he became addicted to alcohol and died last week when he choked on his own vomit. His mom's claiming that the demon failed to live up to the promises of his contract. The demon claims that his contract could not contain the personal addiction and afflictions of the subject in question.”

“Who are we representing?”

“The woman.”

Lindsey reached for the folder and glared at Angel when it was held over his head.

“I'm not that tall, Angel.”

“Oh?” He looked up his arm as if noticing for the first time that he was holding the folder well above Lindsey's reach. “You can't get it?”

He made a huff of indignation. “Fine. We'll play your way.”

Making obscene sounds, Lindsey pressed himself against Angel and kissed him hotly. “Well then. Come on and fuck me, big boss man.”

The folder fluttered to the ground as Angel pressed Lindsey closer to him.

“Linds...”

*

Angel was dozing when Lindsey got dressed. He watched him with slitted eyes and grinned at the slight wince when he bent over to pull up his jeans. Disappointed but not surprised, he watched Lindsey pick up the envelope and limp out of the room.

The phone rang and without listening he said, “Let him go. Don't try and stop him. Also, make sure he has full access to the building by eight tonight. Oh, and give him back his old office.”
