At least you didn't have to try and sandbag your house...ok so I only had two sandbags but still I had to use them.

Ugh. Your house is full of lose. I wonder if you could, like, cover the entire inside of the basement in a layer of caulk?

I'd be screwed if my basement started leaking - I sleep there!

It's got a bit more energy, methinks. I like it.

The horrific cover they were talking about, though, was of the Beastie Boys' song about fighting for your right to party.

It was.....country

No. Hayseed Dixie is painful, but I have yet to hear them change lyrics into lameness. Whoever did this cover is supposedly pretty popular on the country scene right now, and it's actually getting a lot of play on the country stations.

Personally I love Soft Cells medley of Jimi Hendrix covers myself. *g*.

Not a Hendrix fan, and unfamiliar. :)

Soft Cell were an electropop duo in the eighties. This is one of their biggest hits.

I just loved the fact that they did such different versions of Jimi's songs. I'm not a massive fan of Jimi myself but even if I was I think I would have enjoyed the covers but that's me. I'm fully aware that a lot of people wouldn't. *g*. Sadly it's not on youtube.

Soft Cell actually reformed a few years back but to limited success.
