Here's some disappointing news, GTA IV delayed into April of next year.  I have fond memories of appaling acts of violence with a few folks on my Friends list, so sadly we won't be able to gather 'round the [insert-next-gen-console-of-choice-that-isn't-Wii] this Christmas and renew our committment to random vehicle related mayhem.

Because the makers of the game are, quite frankly, a huge collection of fuckwits, and the only reason they're still around is that they have made three of the biggest video games ever. The big question is whether or not GTA IV will make enough money to keep them going in that mode.

The only bigger fuckwits are the head of Sony Computer Entertainment, who let PS3 exclusivity for GTAIV slip through their fingers.

Unless you know something I don't, PS3 exclusivity would be pretty impossible. That would require a dump truck full of other, smaller dump trucks full of money - and even then I wouldn't say it's a sure thing.

The only PS3 exclusive non-Sony franchises (that I know of) are Metal Gear and Final Fantasy, which probably has as much to do with Japanese corporate cultural inertia as money changing hands.
