When I wake at 10 am, the kid is still asleep (for once) so I take meds, shower and dress.
(I feel as rough as I look! been having low blood sugar issues and havent been sleeping well)
When I get done, he is awake watching "Between the Lions"
I fix the boy some 2 waffles with peanut butter, and I start a pot of cabbage soup for myself. While it cooks, I head outside to tend to my garden for the next 2 hours..
Not pictured but todays bounty was tomatoes, onions, and a lot of zucchini. I also have my first rose!
We head in and I have breakfast - cabbage soup with sour cream (I was advised to increase my fat intake). Nom. That looks like a lot of sour cream but its just a spoonful.
I grab my coupon bag and we head to target. I scored some school uniforms for $1.98 on clearance - Yay!
I read Dexter on my Kobo while the boy plays in the sprinkler at the park.
For 2 hours.
Lunch (Spaghetti with Italian Sausage leftovers) and I take our food waste for the past 2 days and rinse/cut it up for the worm compost bin that we keep in the garage..
Jonas loves feeding them, so he does that while I dig around to find a fatty to photograph for all of you.
What you see in the bin is worm castings, cocoons, newspaper, an onion peel and egg shells. Well, and the worms.
We head upstairs for a bit and Jonas plays while I get on facebook and make fun of my mom for misspelling tomatoes.
I play Allies and Empires, watch Dexter then Sabrina the Teenage Witch, haha.
I fill the worms food container, again, and make myself some fried green tomatoes. I've been craving them since seeing my
Mom talk about them earlier - I almost never eat fried food so this was quite a treat and I still made myself use wheat flour and olive oil because I'm a weirdo. I top it off with a skinny caramel macchiato (the caramel is homemade so I use half sugar, too).
The husband is home and he and Jonas watch the Braves game (from the night before, I think) and my sugar crashes,
again (despite that I'd eaten a small snack an hour ago, hummus and half of a wheat pita) so I have some milk to raise it and lay down for a bit. Later I make dinner - white pizza with the onion,
tomatoes and zucchini's we got out of the garden that day! It was fantastic. We also had a spinach salad that I forgot to photograph.
It was 7 by now, so we just watched TV until bed time.
