the door to the city: red heart beating

Thanks...I really enjoyed Cat's discussion of the book on Scalzi's blog. I just finished reading Palimpsest today.

*gringringrin* Wasn't the reading/concert/event great??

me too! although I haven't started the book yet; it's next in line. ^_^ I'm currently reading Toni Morrison's Song of Solomon; I haven't read anything of Morrison's before and I'm quite liking it. also, it's set in/near Mountour county, which is neat (Danville is my dad's hometown). ^_^

That sounds like a great outing!

I went to the Philly event and it was the first time I'd seen / heard Tucker as well. It is an inspired pairing, the reading and the music, and each are suited well to the other.

I'm still working my way through the book...

I think so too. I'm interested in hearing the albums Sooj made as companions to The Orphan's Tales - I'll have to go back and reread some of them and listen to the music. right now I'm in the middle of Toni Morrison's Song of Solomon, and then Palimpsest is next. ^_^

Thank you. I commissioned the illustrations from a Russian artist and had her make woodcut illustrations for my album.
